My name is Meseret Misalew. I finished my training with Alchemy World in 2011: ITC, Bright Future and the New Venture Creation.

I am a mother of two, and I am busy. I have now had my business for six months; I have a small shop where I sell beauty products, brand products and original products. I am happy and I like it. It gives me a salary for living and I can save up.

I am trying to differentiate in different ways; by offering a selection of exclusive products, by my approach to the customer, by giving a small price deduction and by making the shop look attractive. I keep my customers very well, always trying to make them happy.

From the teaching with Alchemy World I have learned how to develop my skills and my self-confidence, and now my fear is eradicated. Before I didn’t have a job, I was a housewife. But after the training I got the chance to open my own business. My husband financed the start up. And I am ready to take the risk, a calculated risk, 50-50. It is a good chance to succeed with my business.

It is hard to be a mother, a wife and a businesswoman. But I tolerate it. It is an old dream of mine and it makes me happy.

After 10 years will have my own building. This is my plan. For now I will either expand my current business or open a different kind of business and I am looking into the possibility of opening another type of business. For the profit and the expenses in beauty products are not compatible. The profit per item I sell is too small. So by a little money I want to try to get a big return. I am looking into a business with daily consumption products, food. The turnover is bigger and the profit larger.

The teaching of Alchemy World should be continued and given to other students also. If they get a little money as soon as they get the training hopefully they will start their own business.
